How to Effortlessly Sync iTunes to iPhone 7 Plus/6S Plus/6 Plus/SE/5S

Over these years Apple has been releasing more and more services which allow more diverse options for backing up an iOS devices data. Although there are several methods available, I think it's safe to say that the majority of users are continuing to use their computers to back up their devices data. With this in mind, today we are going to take a look at two separate methods which can be used in order to successfully sync iTunes to iPhone. Before we get into that, let's take a look at what data you can sync with the use of iTunes.

Part 1. Data That You Can Sync

Before we jump into the main methods, some of the types of data which you are able to sync with iTunes include:

  • Photos and videos which you have taken.
  • Audio files including music albums, playlists or songs, audiobooks, and podcasts.
  • Any data that is stored regarding your applications.
  • Contact information as well as any information stored on your calendar app.
  • TV shows, movies, and any other video files.

From this list you can see that pretty much all types of data can be synced to your computer, provided that you have the right tools available.

Part 2. Using iTunes to Sync iTunes to iPhone

This method is available to everyone who has access to a computer as iTunes is a free program offered by Apple.

Step #1 – If iTunes isn't already downloaded and installed on your computer, go ahead and do so now. Once installed, launch it.

Step #2 – After iTunes is open and ready to go, connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable.

Step #3 – Once your device has been detected by iTunes, click on the small device icon which is located below the top menu.

Step #4 – Your device information will now be shown on the main display. On the left panel of iTunes, click on the “Summary” option, thus loading the other data categories.

Step #5 – Next, click on the “Music” option located on the left panel. Select the “Sync Music” option, followed by selecting the “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres” option.

Step #6 – All that you have to do now is select the different playlists, artists, genres, and albums from the boxes which are located below the options at the top of the menu. After selecting all that you want to sync, click on the “Apply” button to sync iTunes to iPhone.

Note: if you are concerned about syncing too much data, the coloured bar at the bottom of iTunes will provide you with a gauge of how much storage space is left on your device.

Step #7 – Similarly, you can adapt this method to work with different types of data. If you are looking to sync movies, follow the same method although instead of selecting “Music” from the left tab, select “Movies”, “Photos” & Info””.

Given the fact that iTunes is free and is available to everyone, choosing to use this program over the other options is a fair choice. However, in my humble opinion this is not the optimal choice.

Part 3. Using TunesGo to Sync iTunes to iPhone

Using TunesGo, a program developed by Wondershare, is undoubtedly the best choice available when it comes to syncing your devices data to your computer.

Step #1 – First of all, download and install the TunesGo program accordingly. Once you have it installed, launch the program.

Step #4 – A window will then appear which allows you to select the different types of data which can be transferred.

Step #5 – Take a moment to select the different types of data that you'd like to sync iTunes to iPhone. After selecting the different types of data, click on the “Transfer” button at the bottom of the program.

Note: if you want your entire iTunes library to be synced with your iOS device, select the “Entire library” option at the top of the list.

Step #6 – After clicking on the “Transfer” button, the data will now begin to sync to your device. If you are transferring a lot of data, the process will take longer than it would if you are syncing a small amount of data.

As you can see, TunesGo is very easy to use and furthermore, each of the features which come with TunesGo are straight forward and take no more than a few minutes.

TunesGo – iPhone Data Manager & Transfer

While today we focused in on syncing data from your iPhone, TunesGo provides all of its users with a much wider set of tools. Some of the features that are provided by TunesGo include:

  • Regardless of whether you have a Mac computer or a Windows computer, you are able to take advantage of all of TunesGo's features.
  • If you are not suffice with the backup and restore system which iTunes has to offer then TunesGo offers a built-in system which is optimized to work perfectly with iOS devices.
  • iTunes often syncs media with wrong information, such as a wrongly placed artist or misspelt video description. TunesGo offers the tools to sort out this information and have it correctly.
  • Trying to clear out some of the data which is stored on your device? If that's so, TunesGo allows you to select multiple photos or applications at once and remove them from your device.
